Straps look like a small purchase until you play a three-hour show with the wrong one. For brands adding accessories to a guitar case line, the strap is the natural second SKU. Here is what matters.
Width and Comfort
Wider straps spread weight across the shoulder. For heavy instruments (bass, thick-body electrics) look for 60–70mm padding. For light electrics, a 45–50mm strap is enough. Padded sections reduce fatigue on long gigs, especially at the shoulder and lower back.
Materials
- Polyester webbing: durable, low cost, easy to print branding on.
- PU leather: premium look, soft hand-feel, good for fashion-forward lines.
- Crazy horse leather: oil-tanned, ages with character, premium retail price point.
- Neoprene: stretchy, comfortable, popular for bass and heavy guitars.
Hardware and Fit
Check strap locks or wider end slots for guitars without standard strap pins. Quick-release hardware is popular with touring players. Also confirm the strap fits the case or gig bag you sell — bundled sets sell better than single items.
For Brands
Straps carry your logo well and are low-risk to test in small quantities. Start with one padded model and one premium leather model, in your brand colors. See our strap range or ask for custom straps with your branding.
