- ABS molded: 8-15 years.
- Carbon/fiberglass: 10+ years.
- Gig bag: 2-5 years of daily use.
What wears first
- Zippers and handles.
- Exterior fabric at contact points.
- Interior lining near the instrument.
Extending life
- Store off the floor.
- Keep away from heat and humidity.
- Replace hardware early.
