Retail buyers plan 12–18 months ahead. Here is what they asked us for entering 2026 — useful for brands planning their next case line.
1. Lightweight Semi-Hard Cases
Buyers want the protection of a hard case at gig-bag weight. Semi-hard constructions with impact shells and soft interiors are the fastest-growing request, especially for electric and acoustic guitars.
2. Premium Leather Looks
Vintage two-tone distressed finishes and crazy horse leather trims keep growing in Europe and North America. Buyers use them to justify a higher retail price and to differentiate from commodity black bags.
3. Sustainable and Recycled Materials
Buyers increasingly ask about recycled polyester linings, water-based coatings and reduced packaging. Even small steps — recycled interior fabric, FSC packaging — help buyers tell a sustainability story to their customers.
4. Color-Differentiated Lines
Single black is no longer enough. Buyers want 2–3 colorways per model, or seasonal colors that rotate without changing the whole line. Custom color minimums are modest when you order multiple models together.
5. Bundle-Ready Accessories
Straps, pads and accessories sold alongside cases lift basket size. Buyers ask for matching strap + case bundles in the same material and color family.
