Velvet
Soft, smooth and classic. Protects finishes well, feels premium, easy to clean. The standard for hardshell cases.
Suede (faux)
Slightly more textured, grippy and durable. Holds the instrument in place better. Common in semi-hard and premium bags.
Faux fur / plush
Very soft, excellent cushioning, premium look. Heavier and harder to keep clean. Used in high-end acoustic cases.
Choosing for your line
- Student line: plush or velvet, low cost.
- Mid line: velvet or faux suede.
- Premium line: faux fur with neck support.
