Any gigging guitarist knows the struggle: guitar in one hand, pedalboard in the other, and somehow you still need to carry a coffee. Backpack-style guitar bags solve this elegantly.
Why backpack straps help. Properly designed backpack straps distribute the instrument’s weight across both shoulders, reducing fatigue on long walks, bike rides and public transport commutes. They also free both hands for cases, amps and coffee.
What to look for. Padded, adjustable shoulder straps; a chest strap for stability; and a handle or loop system so you can switch between backpack and hand-carry modes. Reinforced stitching where the straps meet the bag matters — that seam carries the whole load.
Protection first. Backpack convenience should never compromise protection. Choose a bag with at least 15mm of high-density foam, a padded headstock area and a weather-resistant outer layer. Semi-hard models add a rigid inner shell for tour-level safety.
Our guitar gig bags include backpack-ready models with premium hardware and custom branding options. OEM/ODM programs available for straps, padding and fabrics.
