Classical guitars have wider bodies, shorter scale and a thinner waist than steel-string acoustics. Their cases are shaped differently.
Sizing basics
Standard classical (4/4) runs ~39 in total length. 3/4 and 1/2 sizes exist for students — cases must match the fractional size.
Body shape
Classical bodies are deeper with a wider lower bout. A steel-string case may press on the waist or not close on the depth.
Case options
- Hard case: wood or ABS, standard for travel.
- Fiberglass: light and strong, premium.
- Gig bag: padded, for local use.
