Length and fit
4-string basses run 46-48 in. Long-scale 5-string basses need extra length. Check interior length, not exterior.
Padding and structure
- 10-15mm foam for casual use.
- Rigid or semi-rigid frame for touring.
- Neck support and headstock pocket.
Carrying
- Backpack straps with padding — standard now.
- Handle placement: top handle plus side handles.
- Strap loops for your bass strap.
Storage
Front pockets for cables, picks and tuners. A small amp pocket is a bonus on gig bags.
