Guitar Case Sample Process: From RFQ to Approved Sample

The sample stage is where a case project either moves fast or stalls. Here is the standard process and how to keep it moving.

Step 1: RFQ and spec sheet

Send your spec: type, size, materials, hardware, colors, logo. The factory confirms feasibility and quotes.

Step 2: Sample agreement

Confirm sample fee, timeline, and what is included. Ask about deducting the fee from bulk.

Step 3: Sample production

Stock designs: 3-7 days. Custom color/logo: 7-15 days. New mold: 15-30 days.

Step 4: Review and test

Fit your instrument, open latches repeatedly, drop test, check stitching and finish. Photograph every detail.

Step 5: Approve and adjust

Approve in writing or request changes. Iterate until perfect — the sample is your bulk contract.

We manage this process with a dedicated PM per order. See How to Order.
