Sampling is the cheapest insurance in sourcing. A good sample process catches design, material and hardware problems before you commit to a container.
What to request in a sample
- Exactly your spec: material, color, interior fabric, hardware, logo.
- Hardware samples: latches, handles, buckles separately if possible.
- Packing details: polybag, carton, corner protectors.
How to test a case sample
- Fit your instrument (real guitar, not measurements only).
- Open and close latches 50-100 times.
- Drop test from 30-50cm onto carpet — check corners and seams.
- Load the case and lift by the handle — check stitching.
- Check interior fabric for loose threads and abrasion.
Cost and timing
Stock design samples typically cost $20-60 and take 5-10 days. Custom samples are higher. Most factories deduct sample cost from your first bulk order — ask before paying.
We ship samples worldwide with hardware references included. See How to Order or request a sample kit.
