PU leather over wood
Classic look, warm feel, good impact resistance. Heavier than molded shells. The premium standard for acoustic hardshell cases.
ABS plastic (molded)
Lightweight, waterproof, affordable. Molded interiors with custom foam. Great for student and mid-line cases.
Plywood (tolex covered)
Vintage look, strong corners, road-tested. Heavier and more expensive. Common on premium and vintage-style cases.
Which material sells?
